About Dakota's School Counseling Program
The Dakota School Counseling Program operates under The ASCA Mindsets & Behaviors For Student Success to create a social emotional learning program for all K-5 Students.

Dakota Elementary School Counseling Program provides:
Whole Group Counseling Lessons
- For all K-5 Students:
- In-class lessons covering a variety of topics regarding social emotional learning
- Twice a month
- 30 minutes in length
Small Group Counseling
- Planned activities outside of the classroom to promote academic, career or personal/social development
- Students selected based on data, parent, teacher, and/or counselor recommendation
- Typically 6-8 meetings
Individual Counseling
- Solution-Focused brief short term counseling
- Available for all students
- Based on student, teacher, guardian and/or counselor referral
